About Me

“What time is it?!”

Any other time when posed with that question I would scream: “It’s adventure time, with Finn and Jake!”  Then I’d sit down and laugh while they saved Lumpy Space Princess from something pretty silly.  Or, I might launch into: Me and Silent Bob patterned our wholes lives after Morris Day and Jerome!  I’m a smooth pimp who loves the pussy, and tubby here is my black man-servant!  What?”

But, this time it’s all about the Heroes Con 2010.  Yep, it’s on.  Three days of super fanboy geek-dom.  And, as it’s been this entire year, they’ve announced more people at the last minute.  So we’ve now got appearances from Bernie Wrightson who drew the Spider-man graphic novel Hooky, Batman: The Cult, and Punisher: POV, among many others.  The guy’s a gothic art master.  Draws creatures that look like they stepped straight out of John Carpenter’s The Thing.  Joe Jusko is going to be there.  Before Alex Ross was the king of comic book painting, there was Joe Jusko.  I’ve always been a fan of his, from his She-Hulk muscle beach poster, to his Marvel Masterpiece card set.  And, the storyline master, Jim Starlin.  If you don’t know him, you’ve 48 hours to learn.  Creator of Dreadstar.  He brought new life to Adam Warlock and Captain Marvel.  He created one of the coolest Marvel villains ever, Thanos.  Jim Starlin is responsible for such masterpieces as The Death of Captain Marvel graphic novel (the first Marvel graphic novel), Cosmic Odyssey, Infinity Gauntlet, and Gilgamesh II.  Very exciting times.

Well, as you may have noticed, Unwanted Heroes Chapter VIII was posted on Monday.  There’s a lot going on with the story, and we’ve just scratched the surface.  As the Con goes, everything is printed and ready to be bought.  In addition to the Bury My Mask At Washington Square story, I’ll also have a printed collection of Chapters I – VII.

For all of you attending, you can find Antwon (Rebel Star studios) and I at Booth #159.  We are at the corner booth diagonally opposite from the entrance.  And, if the floor plan stays the same, we’ll be diagonal from Rob Liefeld and J. Scott Campbell.  Now, as you may remember from last year, I said I’d try to post pics each day and give a little update.  Well, I’m going to try again this year.  Last year there was a problem finding a decent Wi-Fi signal.  I have his thing about paying for Wi-Fi in certain places when Burger King and McDonalds has it for free, but I digress.

It’s going to be a good time.  If you can come, you should.  I’m done for now.  Gotta finish getting things ready so I can get on the road tomorrow.

“Chili Sauce!”
